An insight into the people who make horse racing a way of life.
We were tasked with creating a film that showcases the broader economy surrounding horse racing, encompassing everyone from jockeys and trainers to spectators and the local butcher.
The Result
Over two days at York’s iconic Ebor Festival, we immersed ourselves in the world of British horseracing, capturing the people, traditions and emotion that define one of the nation’s great sporting events.
Commissioned for the ‘Axe the Tax’ campaign, the film explored what was at stake if a proposed betting tax went ahead, telling the stories of the many individuals whose livelihoods depend on the sport.
The campaign ultimately succeeded, with the government dropping the proposed tax, while the film went on to win three New York Awards.
