Announcement of Google's frontier AI cyber model, Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber
Filmed at Google HQ in Palo Alto and Boston, we interviewed three leading experts to announce the new frontier cyber model.
The Result
The challenge was to communicate the launch of an important new AI model to an enterprise audience - distilling complex, highly technical ideas into language that felt clear, accessible and authoritative.
With all kit and crew sourced locally, each interview was filmed with three cameras, giving us flexibility in the edit while maintaining a considered, premium feel. We deliberately created a setting that felt warm and approachable, using naturalistic lighting and carefully composed frames to balance the significance of the announcement with a sense of openness and accessibility.
With very limited time available with each contributor, preparation was critical. Interview questions were carefully structured and direct, allowing us to quickly draw out concise, focused responses while ensuring the key messages remained clear and consistent throughout the film.
The turnaround was equally demanding. The finished film was edited, approved and released globally just 18 hours after the final interview wrapped. Within two minutes of delivery, Google CEO Sundar Pichai shared the film on X - bringing an intensive production and post-production process to an immediate global audience.
